ABOUT US:
TES was established in 1984 as East Tennessee Engineering Company in Sweetwater, Tennessee, with the mission of providing “quality engineering services at a fair price” and the intention of focusing on civil and structural projects in a three to four county area. Very early on, Mr. Thompson, licensed in Georgia and Tennessee, was approached to design a billboard structure, an analysis that took fifteen hours to complete “by hand”.
Recognizing the potential growth of the sign industry in the areas of design as well as teaching and training, Mr. Thompson invested in computer hardware, wrote his own sign design software and expanded his licensure to thirty-two states. The company name was changed to Thompson Engineering Group in 1996 to more accurately reflect the nature of the company and to meet the increasing needs of servicing a multi-state clientele base.
Thompson Engineering Services, LLC was established in 2010 and moved to our current location in Etowah, Tennessee, in August of 2011. We are currently pursuing licensure in additional states and we remain committed to providing professional civil and structural engineering services and fostering growing relationships with our clients.
